Shirley Davis

Shirley Davis, 76, of Lakewood, N.J., and with residence in Boca Raton, Fla., died Sat., Mar. 27. She was born in New York to the late Morris and Helen Greenberg. She graduated from Lakewood Hgih School in 1951 and raised three beloved daughters. Shirley, great with people, was a realtor, travel agent and volunteer. She was a very active member of Temple Beth Am in Lakewood.

Shirley appreciated the fine arts and was actively involved in the Arts & Culture Group of Fairways in Lakewood. She loved discussing politics and enjoyed playing bridge with her friends. She was incredibly devoted to her family and will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered.

Widow of Morgan Davis of Lakewood, Shirley is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Lynn and Glenn Hirsch of Atlanta, Laurie and James Beaty of Huntersvill, N.C., and Beth and Brad Besner of Davie, Fla.; brother Seymour Greenberg of Lakewood; niece Sharon Greenberg; grandchildren Jill and husband Shahak, Neil, Jerry, Seth, Sara, Kevin, Sean, Grant and Noah; and great-grandsons Benji and Evan. She was predeceased by grandchildren Dana and Ian.

Donations can be made in her memory to the I Care/I Cure Childhood Foundation, 10433 S. Lake Vista Circle, Davie, Fla., 33328.

Services were held Mon., Mar. 29 at 11 a.m. at Temple Beth Am, with internment following at Beth Olam Memorial Park in Lakewood.
